1. Jubilee Pool Marker
Inscription. Celebrated as one of the very best examples of a pre-war lido in the world, the Grade II listed Jubilee Pool was originally opened in May 1935 and is now a rare survivor.

Built on a traditional bathing spot near the harbour, it was designed by Captain Frank Latham, the local borough engineer. It has been an iconic feature of Penzance's seafront for over 80 years, with generations of local people and visitors alike enjoying safe seawater bathing in this much loved amenity - the largest sea water lido in the UK.

Jubilee Pool is open every day from late May - early September. Come to swim, relax and enjoy the spectacular views over Mount's Bay and beyond.

The pool suffered significant damage during the storms of February 2014. It reopened in May 2016 following major structural works to anchor the pool to the rock bed, repair and stabilize the walls, changing cubicles and terraces, upgrade the electrical systems and replace the paving and handrails.
