Inscription.
This Ozark sandstone tourist court was built in 1929 by Deverne Ruckman. The original six tourist cabins and Shell filling station operated under various names until 1948, when it became the Rockwood Motor Court. It was renovated in 2019.

The Oklahoma Route 66 Association began making similar markers for Route 66 attractions (both Oklahoma and surrounding states) in 2023 to help gear up for 2026, which will be the centennial anniversary for Route 66.
