Regarding In Grateful Memory Of Henry Paffard 1824-1912. 1. Paffard's 26 years as mayor were served in 3 separate terms of office: 1863-1874, 1875-1880, 1888-1896.
2. Paffard worked at the "Niagara Apothecary" for many years, and was the owner from 1852 - 1898.
3. By "our park", the plaque means Simcoe Park, 75 metres east of this Old Courthouse.
