Dockery's Brigade fought Col. Powell Clayton at Mt. Elba on March 30, was d repulsed and forced to retreat he to reach Prairie D'Ane on to Monticello. He rus April 6 or 7 with General Price. Not all his men were mounted. His brigade was small.

Gano's Brigade arrived at Prairie D'Ane on April 7. Walker's Choctaw Brigade did not arrive until April 12 and participated in the rearguard action at Moscow. Maxey's Division was in the Battle of Poison Spring on April 18 and returned to Texas on April 27.
