1. Shady Grove Methodist Church Marker
Inscription.
On this site stood Shady Grove Methodist Church which served the community from 1853 until 1957. Due to a fire suffered in 1956, the church was rebuilt across the road to the south and resumed services in November of 1957. During the Civil War, the church was used as a Union hospital.
