1. Leon Levy Visitor Center Marker

Inscription. The Leon Levy Visitor Center opened in 2004. Designed by architect Hugh Hardy, Founding Partner, H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture, the Levy Visitor Center is the main entrance where visitors are welcomed and introduced to the diverse collections, gardens, and programs of NYBG. This complex of elegant buildings with low stone walls, curving roofs, and expanses of glass was conceived to blend harmoniously into the Garden's natural landscape. The Visitor Center acts as a portal between the busy city streets and the serene natural beauty that awaits within the Garden gates.
