Inscription.  German:
Schon vor der Gründung des Spitals als Johanniskirche erwähnt. In dem in der Mitte des 14. Jahrhunderts entstandenen Kirchenbau erfolgte 1538 die erste evangelische Predigt.

English:
Even before the senior citizens home with its infirmary was founded, the church was cited as the Church of St John's. It was built in the middle of the 14th century, the first Protestant sermon being held here in 1538.
