Inscription.  German:
1454 als „Gang über die Vils“ erstmals nachweisbar. Neubau der dreibogigen Anlage zu Beginn des 16. Jahrhunderts, Aufstockung und Umbau des zweiten Jochs nach 1580, des ersten und dritten im 17. Jahrhundert.

English:
The first evidence that a stone bridge over the River Vils existed on this site dates from 1454. Reconstruction of the triple-arched structure at the beginning of the 16th century; the superstructure over the central arch was added and converted after 1580, those over the first and third arches in the 17th century.
