Inscription. Samaritan House is the leading local resource for individuals and families affected by violence or homelessness in Hampton Roads. In October, Samaritan House organizes an awareness and fundraising campaign called Paint 757 Purple to get local businesses involved in Domestic Violence Awareness Month. For the 2019 initiative, local artists Aimee Bruce and Rosemarie Ann Spracklin were selected to paint their "Golden Rule" design as a symbol of compassion, unity and hope. This wall was kindly donated by George Kotarides, owner of Dough Boy's Pizza. This powerful message is both a tribute to survivors of violence, as well as a resource for the community. It features the local Samaritan House 24-hour crisis hotline for anyone experiencing violence: 757-430-2120
