The Jordan Office Building
constructed by William Jordan as part of the rebuilding of Winton after it was burned by Union troops in 1862. At the same time, the Jordan Family rebuilt the old Dickerson Inn which was operated as the Jordan and Parker Hotel until it burned in 1936.
The office building was originally used by the Jordan Family and was later acquired by John A. Vann and used by him and his son-in-law, W.D. Boone as a law office. This building was donated to the Historical Association by Louise V. Boone and William D. Boone, Jr.
The cost of moving and restoration was funded by John Richard Jordan, Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., grandson of the builder.
Dedication ceremonies were held September 15, 1984.
