Thayne Relief Society Building
In 1951, the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Silver Star Camp raised $300 to purchase the building from the Church. Silver Star Camp members continue to hold their meetings here today, and historical artifacts of the area are on display inside the building.
The founding of Silver Star Camp in 1938 with sixteen members was the beginning of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers in Star Valley. In 1941, Lincoln Company was organized by the Camp; today there are six camps and 135 members throughout Star Valley.
As the Lincoln Company DUP celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2016, this marker is presented to acknowledge this significant historic site in Star Valley.
