Yorkville in Kendall County, Illinois — The American Midwest (Great Lakes)
Lisa Pickering
Lisa made a tremendous impact on the community she served, and an even greater impact on those who knew and loved her. She truly cared about Yorkville and its residents, so much so that she and her husband chose to settle here to raise their children. To Lisa, her service was more than a job, it was an opportunity to make Yorkville the best place to live for her family and the community at large.
Lisa was a loving mother and companion, a voracious reader, and an avid bicyclist with a favorite 25-mile path around the City of Yorkville.
In recognition of the impact Lisa had on the City of Yorkville, as well as to honor her and her passion for cycling, her legacy will be honored through a 25-mile virtual bike path that travels along her favorite route through north central Yorkville.
As you travel along the Lisa Loop Bike Path, we ask you to take the time to savor the warmth of the sun, enjoy the sweet air on the breeze, and reconnect with the beauty around you as Lisa loved to do."
