Regarding Lee County Monument to the Confederate Dead. Full-length figure of a uniformed Confederate Army soldier stands atop a long obelisk-like structure. The soldier wears a broad-rimmed hat and holds his rifle across his chest. Decorative reliefs include a Confederate flag on a broken pole, a cannon, and crossed sabers on the west face. Crossed rifles with bayonets appear on the east face.
