Prime Minister Johan Sverdrup (1816-92) lived here at Solheimløkken 1865-74. As a member of parliament from Akershus, he had to move when Frogner was incorporated into Christiania in 1878.

in the Norwegian state system in 1884 after many years of struggle, and Sverdrup was able to form Norway's first left-wing government.

Johan Sverdrup moved from Solheimløkken in 1874 after he had bought the farm Nordal or Økernstua in Østre Aker. In 1895 the municipality bought Solheim and converted it into Frogner police station. At the same time, a new prison building was built, which was converted into a residential building when the property passed into private ownership.
