This tablet commemorates the public spirit and generosity of
Sir Harry Oakes Bart
who gave this land formerly occupied by Clifton House to the people of the Province of Ontario and made possible the erection of The Garden Theatre on this site by the Niagara Parks Commission as a place of public concourse
Work was commenced o the 9th day of September 1935 and was completed on the 18th day of September 1937

Camera faces north-west. From the camera, the grass slopes up to a curved walkway and wall; which forms a quarter circle. There are three passage-ways ("doorways") through the back wall. The marker is adjacent to (just north of) the middle passageway (beside the blue and black garbage container).
