More about this marker. 1. For clarity:
- in Queenston (10 km north of here), there is a building and museum called "The Laura Secord Homestead", where Mrs. Secord lived during the War of 1812 and her epic walk, at the age of 37. Of the 3 historic markers at that site, one is titled "Home Of Laura Secord".
- THIS building in Chippawa is where Mrs. Secord lived in her later years, from the age of 65 to her death at 93.

2. This street's name was originally Water Street. It was renamed to Bridgewater Street as part of Chippawa's amalgamation into Niagara Falls in 1970.

The marker is on a tall post in the garden, on the left of the main entrance. In this photo, it is "camouflaged" against the tree; but you can see it in vertical line with the left corner of the roof; and in horizontal line with the "middle line" of the window left of the main entrance.
