who won the Congressional Medal of Honor for distinguished gallantry in action at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 2, 1863

Sgt. Horan enlisted at Dunkirk, N.Y. on May 28, 1861 and was attached to Company E. 72nd Regiment New York infantry

He was wounded at the Battle of the Wilderness May 7th 1864
He died January 4, 1902
