1. Ryan Farm Barn Marker
Inscription. This barn is the last remaining original structure from the Ryan Farm property, owned by J.N. "Buddy" Ryan. The barn was built in 1953 for the Ryans by Elisha Taylor.

Mr. Ryan bought the property in 1938. The original property homestead was located just southwest of the barn, near the current tee ball fields. Mr. Ryan used the property to house his famous coon dog sales business known throughout the country. The Ryan farm property also produced corn, tobacco and cattle. The renowned outlaws Frank & Jesse James spent the night on this property in the 1800s.
