1. Old School Park Marker
This is the former site of the Mackinaw City Elementary and High School. The school was built in 1926 by the Mackinaw City Public Schools. The school served the community needs well until 1984 when it was determined that the building needed replacement. The James Marshall Elementary School was then built on Central Ave. This property was sold to the Village of Mackinaw City. Below is the original brass monument from the first school. This park is dedicated to the youth of our community and their enjoyment of this facility.
