The Dunkirk Bicentennial Commission on this 3rd day of July in the year of 1976 officially and formally dedicate this park to remind us of the high ideals of liberty, brotherhood and democracy which inspired the American Revolution; of the struggles and of human sufferings that were necessary to bring these ideals into reality; and of our responsibility to cherish these ideals and preserve them for future generations.
