1. Dairy Building aka "Dakotaland Museum" Marker
Inscription. Built in 1913 for exhibition and promotion of the state's dairy products at the State Fair. Influenced by Neo-Classical styling. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. Brick faced annex on the east was constructed in 1963.

"Rising from a concrete foundation and floor, the walls are built of structural tile faced with brown bricks. The building is capped by a truncated hipped roof covered with asphalt shingles. A large brick-faced annex with a flat roof was connected to the east (side) facade in 1963.

"Influenced by Neo-Classical Revival styling, the original building features a symmetrical form with simple brick pilasters dividing the facades into several bays. It is encircled by a corbelled brick cornice line and a corbelled brick water table. A flat-roofed canopy supported by plain brick columns covers the main entry on the north facade. Projecting from the south (rear) facade is a small room intended for restrooms and mechanical systems. High round-arched windows pierce the walls. intact. The annex is very plain with no stylistic embellishment, no window openings, and only a few service doors.

"The interior displays simple painted tile walls and exposed steel roof trusses. There are no major partition walls except for the party wall between the original building and the annex."
