Barclay Park. . Harold and Dorothy Barclay moved to the Sisters Country in 1936 and lived in a one room cabin, south of town near Whychus Creek. They were founders and builders of the Barclay Logging Company, which employed approximately 100 area residents and supported them and their families fore more than 30 years. Harold was a Board member of the Sisters-Camp Sherman Rural Fire Protection Distrcit and a founding member of the Bank of the Cascades Board of Directors. Dorothy was an avid supporter of the Sisters Rodeo and the foundation of the Barcaly family. Their lives were filled with the countless expressions of love for the people and place they called home. They will always be remembered as sturdy threads in the fabric of our community. May this dedication serve to keep vivid the memory of Harold and Dorothy Barclay and to encourage others to follow in the steps of their giving spirit.
