Inscription. Founded in 1812 placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the US Department of the Interior in the year 2001.

African American and European American members built this church in the 1830s With donations of lumber, labor, grain and money. They also worked as abolitionists to rid this great country of “the sin of slavery.”
