1. Blount County's First Court Marker
Inscription. Two miles west, the second Monday of September 1795, the County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions first met at the home of Abram Wear. William Wallace was chairman, John McKee, clerk and Littlepage Sims, sheriff. Nine justices attended the first meeting.
