In 1916, with vision and determination, Dr. Harry Wegeforth worked tirelessly to create a world-class Zoo that today is the pride of San Diego and enjoyed by millions of visitors each year. Our vision for the future builds on Dr. Wegeforth’s dream of long ago.

ZOO 100 celebrates the San Diego Zoo’s centennial and honors special friends who have invested in our next 100 years. Their generosity provides the brightest possible future for our precious animals and plants.
