Inscription.
The Running Hare is a manifestation of Donald Gialanella's creative imagination and his talents as an internationally acclaimed artist specializing in the design and fabrication of public art. While an artist-in-residence at the Arthub he became intrigued by the jackrabbits encountered on morning walks in the desert.

He was inspired to create an anthropomorphic hare using auto parts as an homage to the honoring history of Route 66. Material for the unique sculpture was provided from Bulldog Scrap Recycling in Kingman. Funding and transport of the sculpture to this site, was provided by Scott Dunton of the Route 66 Association of Kingman, Arizona.

Galanella from Maplewood, NJ apprenticed with artist Louise Bourgeois after earning a BF in sculpture from. The Cooper Union in New York, His larger -than-life sculptures are on display in public and private collections in over a dozen cities from California to New York.
