Horrea di Ortensio e Horrea dell'Artemide, also, The Warehouses of Hortensius and Artemis. . Gli Horrea (magazzini) di Ortensio (A), il cui impianto risale forse all'epoca tardo-repubblicana (I secolo a.C), costituiscono uno dei più antichi esempi ostiensi di questa tipologia di edifici, e conservarono nel tempo il livello originario. Tra due celle si addosso un tempietto (B). il cui costruttore Lucio Ortensio, capitano della flotta militare di Miseno, è ricordato nel pavimento musivo. I vicini Horrea dell'Artemide (C), cosi chiamati dal rinvenimento di una raffigurazione della dea e costruiti in età traianea (98-117 d.C), presentano anch'essi un cortile interno: sorgono su un edificio precedente a carattere commerciale. indizio del fatto che l'area svolgeva una funzione preminente di deposito di merci già dal I secolo a.C. , , The Horrea (warehouses) of Hortensius (A), perhaps built in the late Republican period (1st century BC), are one of the most ancient examples of such buildings in Ostia and maintained their original level over time.
