The most active man in procuring Charter for Shoreham in 1761, and in effecting its early settlement; engaged upon Military Road in 1759; and an officer in French and Revolutionary Wars; who came with others from Worcester, Mass. and cleared the first ground in 1766.
He died in 1807 aged 86 yrs. and was buried upon his own land.
