1. Tempio Collegiale dei Fabri Tignuarii Marker
Il tempio, dedicato all'imperatore Pertinace (193 d.C.) divinizzato dopo la morte, fu eretto dalla corporazione dei fabri tignuarii (costruttori), come si legge dall'epigrafe conservata sul lato opposto del Decumano. L'edificio, con cella in laterizi, presentava un alto podio cavo internamente, dove venivano riposti i doni votivi. Il tempio si sovrappose a un caseggiato piω antico, costruito in etΰ adrianea (117-138 d.C.), che deve il nome al rinvenimento al suo interno di un'erma (busto) in marmo del famoso comandante ateniese Temistocle (530/520-459 a.C.), copia di un originale della prima metΰ del V secolo a.C., oggi esposto nel Museo Ostiense.
The temple was dedicated to the emperor Pertinax (AD 193), who was deified after his death, and was erected by the guild of the fabri tignuarii (builders), as we read in the inscription displayed on the opposite side of the Decumanus. The building had a brick cella and stood on a tall hollow podium in which votive offerings were kept. The temple was installed on top of an older complex. built in the Hadrianic period (AD 117-138), which owes its name to the discovery inside

Excerpt: "The inscription is a dedication to the deified Pertinax and should be dated to 194 AD, that is to the reign of Septimius Severus. It reflects the dedication of the building and was set up by the guild of the builders of Ostia, the fabri tignuarii. The temple is therefore linked to the House of the Triclinia (I,XII,1), the guild seat of the builders. In that building a dedication to Mars was found, not surprising, because the builders were organized in a military way. The inscription of the Guild Temple points to the Imperial cult, but the temple may also have been dedicated to Mars. The attention paid by Pertinax to the harbours is documented by the ancient historian Dio: 'While Pertinax was at the coast, investigating the grain supply ...'
