1. Answer To Question Marker
Inscription. The canal crossed other bodies of water on an aqueduct. Think big rain gutter. The aqueducts were connected to the canal on both ends, and water flowed through them just like through the canal. Most were covered to keep out rain and snow. So they resembled a covered bridge.
