Inscription. This one-room school house was built in the latter part of the 1800's, one of ten similar schools in Jefferson Township. The last class was held in 1920 as many small rural schools were consolidated into larger districts. For the next half century, following the addition of two side sheds, it served agricultural purposes: corn crib, equipment storage, and hog nursery. Ken and Ann Wobbecke restored it to its original configuration in 2001-2002 so that its history would be preserved.

Erected 2002.
