Mohican State Scenic River
On December 28, 2006 the O.D.N.R. designated 32 miles of the Mohican River from Pleasant Hill Dam to its confluence with the Kokosing River at Walhonding Ohio's 13th scenic river.
The 5-mile Clear Fork has gradient of 11 ft/mile; the 28-mile main trunk, 8 feet.
It drains a watershed of 1,000 square miles.
This designation, together with that of the Wally Road's Road's Scenic Byway designation, makes Kenhurst Valley Ohio's only parcel of land so honored.
