English Translation:
Built in 1909/10 by Johannes Kronfuß, reinforced concrete construction with ashlar cladding. Closed by the National Socialists in 1938. Reopened in 1951 as the Hertie department store. Extended and remodeled in 1969/70. Reconstruction of the ground-floor façade in 1992. From 2000 operated as the Karstadt department store. Since 2024, after remodeling, GALERIA.
