Inscription.
Dal 1809 al 1865 il sarcofago fu adattato a fontana all'esterno del Palazzo del Bargello (sul lato di via della Vigna Vecchia) con l'aggiunta dei due delfini realizzati dallo scultore Giovan Battista Giovannozzi nello stesso 1809.

From 1809 to 1865 this sarcophagus was used as a fountain in the exterior of the Bargello (on the side of the via della Vigna Vecchia). The dolphins are later additions, carved in 1809 by Giovan Battista Giovannozzi.
