1. Odell House Marker
Inscription.  
Odell House 1883-1884
Built by brickyard owner Horace Odell as a wedding present for his son, this handsome building subsequently housed a doctor's office and the University of Ottawa's Department of Music. Distinguished by its Mansard Roof, central tower, and semi-circular dormers, it is an excellent example of the Second Empire Style popular in Canada in the 1870's.

Construite par le propriétaire de briqueterie Horace Odell en guise de présent de noces à son fils, cet immeuble attratant abrita également un cabinet de médecin ainsi que de départément de musique de l’Université d’Ottawa son comble brisé, sa tour centrale et ses lucarnes semi-circulaires remarquables en font un excellent exemple du style second empire populaire au Canada dans les années 1870.
