Inscription.
This memorial was originally located on the grounds of the former IBM Country Club site at 4301 Watson Blvd, Johnson City, NY. On January 9, 2004, IBM Corporation sold that property. Due to the significance of this Memorial, which is a symbol to those fallen as well as to those who contributed to have it built, IBM retained it as an honored asset and moved it to this site at Highland Park in the Town of Union, NY. The monument was dismantled, reconditioned, and reassembled by Endicott Artistic Memorial Company for IBM in a duration of several months. The relocation of the Memorial to the current site will preserve and protect it for the future and places it in a location of significance to IBM and the community. IBM Corporation donated this property to the Town of Union in 1959 along with a cash contribution for the construction of a public park, now known as Highland Park. A rededication ceremony, following a similar format of the original dedication ceremony, was conducted at this site on Veteran's Day 2005 to resymbolize its meaning.

Erected by IBM Corporation and the Hamlet of Endwell.
