Regarding Vittorio Emanuele II / Victor Emmanuel II. This memorial on the side of Vinci's municipal building seems to have been erected in response to the death of Victor Emmanuel II, in January of 1878. Victor Emmanuel had served for almost 17 years as the first king of a unified Italy in more than a millennium.
