Excerpt: "Meucci, with the support of other Italian immigrants, founded the Telettrofono company and patented his invention. Unfortunately, there were not enough funds to spread the invention. The Italian also found it difficult to conduct tests on a larger scale, for which he wanted to use the existing telegraph line. After several years, the patent expired, and the inventor did not have the money, namely $ 10, to further protect the idea. Instead, the American Bell Telephone Company appeared on the market. Meucci filed a lawsuit that, even now, after nearly 140 years, generates a lot of excitement among experts in technology, history, and law. Eventually, the trial that started in 1885 and involved the United States Government, ended in 1897 with neither winners nor losers. In 2002, The US House of Representatives, at the request of New York City Council, passed a resolution recognizing Meucci's contribution to the invention of the telephone, but it caused mixed feelings as
