Excerpt: The Park County Historical Society enthusiastically supports the Alma Foundation's grant request to the State Historical Fund to rehabilitate the Alma Ladies' Aid Society Hall in Alma, Colorado. The structure, commonly known as the Ladies Aid Hall, has a long and historic significance to the heritage of the mining community of Alma. While it served as offices for several mining companies from the late 1880s, the Ladies' Aid Society recognized the importance of community service and adopted this structure as a community center in the very early 1900s. It is one of the few remaining historic structures within Alma and is highly deserving of preservation.(Submitted on September 4, 2025, by Cosmos Mariner of Cape Canaveral, Florida.)
