This eminent veterinarian contributed to the improvement of animal and human health. Internationally known for his many discoveries in the field of animal disease, he conducted research on sweet clover poisoning in cattle leading to the development of an anticoagulant widely used to control harmful blood clotting in humans. A professor and research scientist here at the Ontario Veterinary College, he trained generations of practitioners. From 1916 to 1920 and after his retirement, this humanitarian taught and undertook missionary work in South Korea where he is honoured for his contribution to that country's democratic development.,

In the spring of 1916, he received a letter of recommendation from Dr. ORISON (Yonsei University College of Medicine) in the spring of 1916 to come to Korea during the Japanese colonial period from Dr. or Avison. Dr. Scofield visited Korea with his wife in the fall and meets Yeo Byung -hyun again when he was young. He was in charge of bacterial and hygiene at Severance Medical College, and his contract was four years. He learned Korean from Mokwon Hong, who speaks English, and taught in Korean.
