1. FRIENDSHIP NORTH CEMETERY Marker

Inscription. Since the early 1800s, members of the Friendship/Cody Mountain community have chosen Friendship Cemetery as their final resting place. In 1852, for nine dollars, Edmund B. Cody, Sr., deeded six and a half acres to the Friendship congregation, their successors, and to the friends and family of those buried here. The original log church that was also used as a school was located on these grounds. The oldest marked grave is that of Dr. J.H. Wright, 1845. There are older unmarked graves.
