1. Chickasaw Warrior Statue Marker
Inscription. This bronze sculpture is an interpretation of an 18th century tashka Chikashsha (Chickasaw warrior) by world-renowned Seminole artist Enoch Kelly Haney. The sculpture embodies the tribe's long-held motto, "The great unconquered and unconquerable Chickasaw Nation."

Notable features include the roached hairstyle with pendant yaatala (feather hair ornament), bear claw inno'chi' (necklace), tanampalhlhi' micha naki' (bow and arrows) and sholosh (Chickasaw-style pucker toe moccasins).

The artist's goal was to convey the famous Chickasaw warrior spirit and the strength of a sovereign Indian nation - its government and people.

When unveiled for the first time Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby noted, “We are dedicating this sculpture to the Chickasaw warriors of the past, the warriors of today and to those warriors who will come after us."
