Inscription. In the early 1900's, local Indian trader Charles E. Strausenback built the Trading Post to resemble the homes of the Pueblo Indians. Throught the mid-1950's, Native American silversmiths and artisans worked and lived at the Trading Post, fashioning jewelry, weaving blankets, and creating baskets and pottery. While maintaining its heritage, the Trading Post has expanded seven times. Within its walls you will find the world-class Art Gallery, Gift Shop, and the Balance Rock Cafe.
