Inscription. From military service in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star, David Brickley became Dale City Civic Association President. Prince William Assistant County Executive, and in 1975 elected to the Virginia House of Delegates through 1998. He was chief sponsor of legislation creating Leesylvania State Park; the Virginia Children's Health Insurance Program, elected school boards; and the Virginia Railway Express which he also served as chairman. From 1998 to 2002 David was Director of the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation which was named the "Best State Parks in America" under his leadership. He is founding president of the 1,300-mile September 11th National Memorial Trail connecting the three 9/11 Memorials.
