1. Lucy Walsh Phinney Marker
Inscription. Born in Syracuse, New York, graduated from Tufts University and moved to Prince William in 1973. Lucy affiliated with organizations supporting education, community service and preservation of history. Volunteered for Red Cross, Potomac Library, Neabsco Elementary, Godwin Middle and Garfield High Schools. Served as Chair of Prince William Historical Commission and helped found Historic Prince William Incorporated. Authored Yesterday's Schools, a history of Prince William schools.
