Fair Mount is a well preserved, two-story, stuccoed stone dwelling located in the City of Winchester. The house currently sits on a 2.3-acre tract that is well landscaped and includes a garage. Historical and architectural evidence suggests that the house was constructed for Joseph Tidball, a local merchant, by local builder Lewis Barnett. Fair Mount has a four-room plan with a front hall and exhibits elements of the Late Georgian style. In 1929, the house was remodeled in the Colonial Revival style.(Submitted on October 2, 2025, by Bradley Owen of Morgantown, West Virginia.)
