Inscription. Brookfield Zoo Chicago was the first zoo in the world to receive the Humane Certified designation. The care and welfare of the animals at this park meet American Humane Society's rigourous certification standards.

Brookfield Zoo Chicago is proud to be part of a global effort to save animals from extinction. Through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' SAFE: Saving Animals From Extinction® program, we are part of a global conservation effort to save threatened endangered species.
