1. Fruitdale Brethren Church Marker

Inscription. The history of Fruitdale Brethren Church can be traced back to the charter of the Mobile and Ohio Railroad, after which The Brethren School Company of Covington, Ohio, purchased the land. The church was organized on April 18, 1896. The family of Mrs. Madison Shobes Wine later donated the property to Fruitdale Brethren Church. Members built the church in 1904 through donations from friends in the north, as well as local friends. The first service at the completed Fruitdale Brethren Church building was held in January 1905. Listed in the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on December 10, 2020
