Dennis Farmhouse. view from the south side. , Your tour has led you to the south side, or chimney side, of the house. Although we don't have any photos of this side of the house as it looked in the 19th century, we do know that there was no chimney here until after the 1939 update. Before that date, the house had a center chimney and fireplace, the traditional chimney placement for the timber-frame architectural style.
