1. Lions Park Marker
Inscription.
In 1962 the Lions Clubs in Nassau County erected in this park a monument to international peace and service to humanity.

In 1976, to commemorate the bicentennial of this nation's independence, the Lions Clubs encouraged the youths in Nassau County to carry at the north end of this park a monument – The “Spirit of '76”.

In 1989 the walks and benches were installed around each monument in honor of the Bicentennial of the United States Constitution and its Bill of Rights.
